Barn To Yarn Mother and daughter hand knitted, in home business. We have our own alpacas so we have a good supply of yarn. Our alpaca’s yarn is not dyed.

Our yarn is unique and special because it is from an individual alpaca. Each alpaca's fleece is kept separate from shearing till the end product either yarn or knitted item. We don’t have time to spin all the fleece ourselves so the fleece is processed into yarn at a USA mini-mill. It is the alpaca's natural color. But we do buy dyed alpaca yarn from our alpaca friends. We try to buy only from US

A. We attend and buy at fiber festivals and buy on Etsy. Some of the yarn is a blend of alpaca with merino wool, bamboo, nylon, tencel or acrylic. . Many of our knitted items are unique and one of a kind (or at least one of only a few). The alpacas appreciate you buying from us. The money goes toward their feed and care.
