Hoorah!

My hard red wheat berries from Liberty Grains just arrived in time for farmers market prep! I look so forward to making some beautiful bread with these babies. And the absolute best part? The support that it will give to Oregon farms, especially wholesome family-owned farms like this one. My bakery and I will be staying as local as is possible.

I can already TASTE the difference.

Bit of a late start today because of the cold night but no fret! Your local carb dealer always finds a way!

On today’s menu, available after 2 pm:

Cheddar Jalapeño sourdough bread
Cranberry Walnut
Classic Sourdough Bread

Just a heads up, the stand will definitely be sparse for the next few weeks because I’ll be focusing on the CROP Farmers Market every Saturday for the rest of the month. But that just means that you’ll have a chance to snag all the goodies every Saturday morning at the park!

So much excitement!! My grain mill arrives either today or tomorrow. Be on the look out for organic fresh-milled sourdough bread featuring Oregon-grown and Oregon-owned products this Saturday! Can’t wait!

Am I insane or am I insane? I’ll be at the next three Farmers & Friends Market markets in Bend so that makes two markets per week until the end of June!
