Like our bodies, each piece of wood has it's own uniqueness about it. To me the more "flaws ' or "imperfections" the more inspiring the piece is. Actually makes my job easier. All I have to do is sand it and bring it back to it's natural charm, the wood itself is art.

Very happy with how this project turned out. We installed the pallet wall with some floating shelves built in, fireplace w\led color changing accent lights all controlled with your voice. We fabricated the mantel and hearth from scratch using standard boards from a big box store.

This post is not to meant to offend anyone. We at Home Enhancements don't pick sides or see Race, Gender, Personal Believes or care who you want in office or what you are pi**ed off about. It's none of our business. BUT when innocent people who may not even have a horse in this race have to live in fear or are displaced like refugees of a civil war that's where we need to all draw the line. I understand the issue of inequality in this country runs deep and I know there are some authority figures who abuse their power unfairly and THOSE PEOPLE SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE RIGHT? After all why should anyone be ridiculed or punished for their believes or the color or their skin or their OCCUPATION?? I think it's disgusting to attack the brave men and women who actually take the oath to protect and serve seriously, the ones who risk their lives to cut baby's from burning cars and jump head first into situations that the majority of us wouldn't have the guts or the stomachs to even look at. You think they care what color you are or how you identify yourself? How strong will you hold on to those beliefs when it's your life or your child's life in the hands of these men and women, these hero's. Black or white, Jewish or Muslim. You wouldn't think twice because it's what they are trained to do . They protect us from a lot more than bad guys and bad drivers. And this is how we thank them? We have shown clearly that we need law and order. We sure as hell are not strong enough or compassionate enough to police ourselves. But my point is really this... You see something that you consider unfair or offensive or inappropriate speak up! Or be brave and risk your own life to protect those people who may not be able to protect themselves. Now do that every day without even a thank you or a pat on the back or worse imagine being punished or ridiculed for it? Does that even make sense?

The world sure has changed a lot in the past few months. And it can be scary especially since the outcome is still uncertain. But through this I’ve seen some amazing things. Like how quickly everyone has adapted. It seems like we’ve been social distancing our whole lives. Although wearing masks in public felt strange at first it’s good to see everyone doing their part in trying to crush this pandemic. WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS! With all that being said here at Home Enhancements we have also decided to make some changes and use what we can from this as an opportunity to try some new things. We still do “Handy Man” and “Honey Do Lists” but we are focusing on are more shop related services as well such as Building and Restoring Furniture, Custom Cabinetry, Fabricating Amazing Countertops made from all types of wood like Live Edge Black Walnut, Butcher Block, Cherry and many more. We Install Pallet Walls , Barn Wood Walls , Fireplaces and Backsplashes and other Custom Wood and Stone Projects that only take 1 or 2 days so we can be in and out. We take this pandemic very seriously and practice all the necessary Precautions to keep both us and our customers safe. Which brings me to my another change. All of our Initial estimate and design meetings will be held virtually online. Although we are still available for face to face “on site” meetings and somethings just can’t be done virtually we have found great success is the few virtual type projects we have had. In fact we might just keep this going once this virus gets knocked out. And it will! So reach out and set up a virtual consultation via email @ [email protected] there we can answer any questions, brainstorm ideas, come up with a design and ultimately with a solid and safe plan to execute. Best of all NO MASK REQUIRED!! Be safe everyone.

Just wrapped up this Rustic Pine Flooring Install, Sand, Stain and Finish. It was challenging but we like it that way.
