Sometimes people ask me if I can sketch out an Idea for them before I make the actual piece. I always say no. My sketches are horrible, just trust me, and if you don't like the finished product you don't have to buy it. These photos show how my brain sketches ideas. The finished product is just what I had in mind....well sort of. The print is called Freedom. The artist is Lynn Austin, one of our artist's at the Brandon Artists Guild. I hope I was able to do the print justice. Oh, by the way, the customer is my wife, Carroll. She loves it

I received a complimentary copy of Wood Magazine in the mail today for September 2026. As I began paging through the magazine, to my great surprise, I found these pictures of my work. Interesting the dates on the picture are November of 2025, but the magazine is dated September 2026. Anyway, just grateful that they included my "stuff."

Some more dovetail boxes close to completion. Look for them soon at the Brandon Artist Guild. If your wondering, the piece in the center of the picture is something known as a hidden JESUS. If you look at it at just the right angle the letters spell Jesus.

A couple of new items fresh out of the shop. The dovetail box went on display today at the Brandon Artist Guild and sold a couple hours later. These little boxes are time consuming and require extreme accuracy or they look terrible (ask me how I know this). The Cherry Coasters on the other hand are quick and easy and fast to make. (but not challenging and quite frankly, boring to make). We will see how these sell, although I do not see myself making these on a regular basis. Looking forward to getting back to work on the Maloof Rocker.

Continued progress on the Rocker Sleds. Now you know why you can never have enough clamps.

Some more super nice figured hard maple. 12 inches wide by about 5 feet long. I have several pieces of this now. Looking forward to turning it into someone's heirloom treasure. God is good.

Fresh out of the shop today. Small hall table 27 w x 10 d x 26 h. Mahogany, Spalted Birch and Walnut. Finished with Odies Oil. Will be available for sale at the Brandon Artist Guild Gallery soon.

Had a great visit with Denny and his wife Heidi. Denny has one of the nicest collections of curly maple I have ever seen. Grateful he was willing to sell some of his stash.

"Rachmaninoff in a Box" is on its way to the Southern Vermont Arts Center in Manchester Vermont for the juried "Emerging Artist Members Exhibition."
