One Decision Changes Everything

In this primary suite, rethinking the layout transformed far more than the look of the space. By redesigning the floor plan, we were able to introduce new windows that flood the room with natural light, improve the overall flow, and create dedicated his-and-her closets that make everyday routines more functional.

One of the most impactful design decisions in this lake home remodel wasn’t something we removed—it was something we intentionally kept.

The original brick arch between the kitchen and living room had incredible warmth, texture, and character. While much of the home was thoughtfully updated, Terra recognized that this architectural feature gave the home a sense of history and personality that couldn’t be replicated.

Great design isn’t about starting over. It’s about knowing what deserves to stay, what should evolve, and how every decision contributes to the overall feel of the home.

It’s All in the Details 🩷
The most memorable spaces tell a story.
For this dining room, Terra drew inspiration from her clients’ love of Mardi Gras and Louisiana culture, building the design around a truly one-of-a-kind piece: artwork created by the client herself using collected Mardi Gras beads.
Rather than simply finding art to fill a wall, Terra used something already meaningful to her client as inspiration for the space—allowing their personality, memories, and story to become part of the design.
Because the best interiors don’t just look beautiful. They feel like the people who live there.
