Meet Nick!
Nick joins ZDS as a Project Architect in our Washington, DC office, bringing 12 years of experience designing and delivering large-scale multifamily, student housing, and mixed-use projects across the country. His expertise spans entitlement through construction, with a focus on technical design, BIM development, and coordination, navigating the complexities of large-scale projects while maintaining clear design intent.
Nick approaches architecture as a balance of spatial experience and enduring design. His work is grounded in creating lasting value for clients and communities while bringing design ambition, technical rigor, and constructability together throughout the process. He is also passionate about strengthening the practice through collaboration, mentorship, and developing the next generation of architects, both within ZDS and the broader design community.

Summer may be winding down, but we're not done celebrating our amazing interns! Meet the trio who spent the summer growing with our Providence office:

Hogan dove into drawing sets and deadlines, collaborating with our teams on master planning, and sketching out design options across multiple projects.

Tiara leveled up her Revit skills, helping with documentation, and getting hands-on experience aiding with document management & site visits.

Brynn, who worked across both our Interior Design and Architecture teams, assisted on job sites and helped pull together presentations with the ID crew.

We're so proud of how much you all grew this summer, and we loved having your energy on the team. Thank you, Hogan, Tiara, and Brynn; we can't wait to see what you do next!

Before joining ZDS, Kathleen developed a strong foundation in interior architecture and project management, gaining experience guiding projects from early design concepts through documentation and construction to execute complex, multi-phase projects that push design boundaries and create exceptional experiences for clients and end-users. We are celebrating Eric’s 10-year anniversary at ZDS! As Associate Principal, Eric has spent the last decade managing projects within the ID department and has been a key part of our growth and success.
His leadership of project teams, clients, and exceptional work has helped elevate our office beyond what we could have imagined. We are incredibly grateful to have someone like Eric on our team — someone you can always count on and undoubtedly the person you want by your side.
