It is one year later and our dear Palestinian artisan partners remain in desperate circumstances. So for our second year, we are releasing a “Peace for Palestine" ornament, handcrafted by traditional Palestinian woodworkers. This year's design features the beautiful olive tree that holds deep meaning to the Palestinian people.
The olive branch is a universal symbol of peace, renewal, and reconciliation- and represents the collective hope of these talented crafters. Palestinians plant olive trees with the hope that they will be able to peaceably live and stay in their homeland- literally putting down roots. The wood for the ornaments is sustainably harvested only from branches that have been pruned or fallen, allowing olive trees to live for hundreds of years, linking the past and the present.
These ornaments can be pre-ordered from now through Saturday, November 23rd and should arrive to recipients by mid-December. Whether to adorn your own home, or gift to friends and neighbors, this ornament is a tangible way to support a people who have suffered the unimaginable. Each handcrafted ornament comes with a tag telling the story of the people and impact behind it. 100% of the proceeds of this ornament goes back to the Palestinian artisans, enabling them to put food on the table and keep hope alive 🌱
