Got everything cut to size for an illusion quilt. Excited to get back to it and get some quilts done!

My Saturday test project! Hes ancient little guy but I love him 😄

It's not perfect but for a full first test run to see if I'm even capable of making iron on patches I'm calling this a success.

Now to do the work I was supposed to be doing while doing this instead. 😂

It's been busy busy busy over here. Not doing anything productive though just playing with my new machine. 😂

My current favorite thing is these fun fancy stitches it does. They're perfect for binding! I guess getting 1 quilt done and bound isn't nothing (but it's not everything on the to do list 😄)

Finally done quilting this one! 🥳 just gotta bind it now. I'm so happy with how the leages turned out.

I'm not sure what go call this one. I was think stripeberry, or maybe just stripey. I'm not sure yet.

Working on getting this mamojama quilted today. The colors remind me of strawberries so I decided to do my favorite quilting pattern the leafy meander!

This is by far my favorite pattern to quilt. There is something satisfying about the shapes and how quickly it goes.

I got a new toy that I'm super excited to get to use. I bought a Bermette B79! I call her Bernie 🥳🥳🥳

It is an amazing sewing machine AND it's a full embroidery machine! What does this mean? Well first it means that I am not getting anything else done because I'm too busy playing. Secondly it means that patches, embroidered quilt squares, custom quilt tags, and sew much more are will be coming down the line!

I am so stupid excited for this and to start working on new things!

So stinkin excited for this next quilt I have on the to do list! I've been wanting to do an optical illusion quilt and I am finally gonna get it done!

Just have to finish quilting the strawberry stripey on my longarm and I can get started on this one.😁😁😁

Happy Monday friends! Got this lovely loaded onto the longarm last night. Now to find time to get it quilted today.

My mom gave me this super cool cigar box that happens to fit my hexies perfectly. I'm thinking I'm going to fancy it up a little bit and add some bungie to the life to hold my scissors and what not.

I am in love with finding new ways to use old things. ❤

That is how far I made it into my strip pile before my bobbin ran out. 🤷‍♀️ How is it 2021 and we still dont have machines that use cones instead of bobbins? ☺️

Finished the first chain piecing part for my stripey top. Not gonna lie I'm half tempted to stop making quilts and just make fabric Garland. I kinda want something like this over every window in my house now. 😄

If yesterday was all about the hexies today is all about the strips! 108 done 36 to go. Excited to get this stripey quilt top together!

I love quilting. From picking the fabric to figuring out a new pattern, and then finally quilting I am in love with the process of making quilts. Taking raw material (in this case literal material) and turning them into something functional and comforting is like magic to me. What started out as wanting to make a gift for my in-laws has blossomed into a full-blown obsession and passion.

I look forward to continuing to create new easy to follow patterns, grow as a long arm quilter, and continue to nourish my love of quilting for years to come.
