Every space in this home started with a question: how does the person living here actually want to live? ✨

For this room, the answer was two things that seemed at odds. A quiet place to practice violin without interrupting the household. And an open space to gather friends, set up the band, and dance.💃🏻

So we built the room around both. Acoustic panels keep the practice private. Sliding glass doors open the room to the breezeway, turning a solo space into a stage.🎻

The Sherri Belassen art anchored the breezeway and pulled the whole palette together the moment we saw it- we knew our client needed it in their space!

This is what happens when a home is designed around a story instead of a trend. 🎵

A lot of people ask who they should hire first when they build a home. Architect? Builder? The truth is, the order matters less than the team.

The best projects we’ve been part of all had one thing in common. The team came together from the very beginning. People who communicate well, who get along, and who actually value what everyone else brings to the table.

It’s hard to do great work when someone doesn’t respect the expertise sitting right next to them. Everyone should have room to speak up. The client, and the team. You’re paying professionals for their knowledge, and the work is always better when the whole room appreciates that.

So we’re curious. Who did you hire first when you built your home?

Three details in our viral home you probably missed the first time. 🧐

The internet noticed a lot about this house. But the things WE’RE proudest of? Hand-stamped pool walls. A trim reveal that took three days to get right. Two twenty-foot doors hidden inside our windows.✨

The big stuff impresses. The small stuff is what makes a home feel like a Gruver Cooley home.

Save this for when you build. 📝

This piece has a story. ✨

The homeowner is really passionate about music 🎶 and envisioned this breezeway between his new music room and the existing space as a kind of dance floor. 🕺💃 A place for movement and connection.

When I saw this piece at , it immediately felt right for his home. 🏡

This is why intentional art matters. When it’s chosen thoughtfully, it doesn’t just fill a wall, it becomes part of how you experience the space. 🤝
