Today was a big day!! Sew Sunny Creations is officially an LLC!! My website is in the works… but in the meantime you can now purchase my hand-dyed yarn and fiber crafts at Scranton's Shops in Woodstock, CT! Happy WIP Wednesday!! I finished knitting my cup cozy for Steek This Coffee Cup Cozy by Rachel Henry @ Remily Knits. I didn’t follow her colorwork pattern, I went rogue. It was super fun!! I’m going to reinforce and cut the steek panel at the next guild meeting. Disregard my uneven tension, I was practicing continental colorwork. I’m not sure I like it better than combination…

This one I named “Clover Fields”. It’s a custom blended, beautiful, medium green shade that’s perfect for Christmas and St. Patrick’s Day. Here it is shown on Aran/heavy worsted weight non-super wash 100% extra fine merino wool.  it’s such a gorgeous color. 🍀🌲🧶❤️

Here’s “Fushia Clouds”, one of my new colorways, shown on two ply high twist 85% extra fine merino and 15% nylon superwash fi*****ng weight yarn. I love how this turned out!!! This one took a lot of experimentation of custom color blends to get it just how I imagined it would be, and I’m so happy to have perfected it! 🧶☁️💗

To all my friends at the Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival this weekend, have so much fun!! I can’t wait to see your photos! It’s my dad’s memorial today on this beautiful day and my brother and family are in from out of town. Alas, there’s always next year for VT yarn. ❤️

Today I had the pleasure of visiting Ewe and You Fiber Arts in East Windsor, Connecticut! Located only 15 minutes from where I was shopping at Costco. This place has been on my list for a while. They’re in a relatively new location that’s a lot bigger and has a couple of separate rooms for meeting and classes. It was so incredibly nice. They had a little bit of everything from knitting to crochet supplies to embroidery and needle felting. They had a really good range of prices. Something for every budget. They had a lot of things that I hadn’t seen before, like the firefly yarn and the Harry Potter yarn in person. And of course, I had to get a couple for my kids for Christmas. They had a few local yarn brands as well and lots of buttons, books, and notions. It truly was great. They had so much and I can’t wait to go back to explore some more. They had a nice rewards program too where if you spend $100 you get five dollars back. If you’re in that area of the state, I highly recommend you checking them out.
