Since 2023, Northeast Flooring & Kitchens in Putnam, Connecticut, has proudly hosted the Quiet Corner Golf Classic to benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
“Sadly, too often our veterans and first responders and their families can feel forgotten,” said George Amenabar, owner of Northeast Flooring and Kitchens, a U.S. Marine, and an Iraq War veteran.
“Each spring, the people who sponsor and participate in the Quiet Corner Golf Classic show that they are remembered.”
The golf classic, held annually at Quinnatisset Country Club in Thompson, Connecticut, is a shot-gun style tournament that invites local business, first responders, veterans, active- duty military and community members to gather for a day of camaraderie on and off the course.
In the first three years of the tournament, NEFK has raised $75,000 to benefit T2T and its enduring support of veterans, first-responders, and their families.
We are committed to hosting the Quiet Corner Golf Classic each year for the foreseeable future to continue supporting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and those who have given so much in service to our country and communities.
