Everybody wants to own a business… until it’s time to actually own one.
Everybody sees the trucks. The logos. The employees. The equipment. The growth.
They see the business getting bigger and assume life must be getting easier.
But nobody sees the sleepless nights.
Nobody sees the payroll stress.
Nobody sees the sacrifices your family makes.
Nobody sees the times you take money out of your own pocket to make sure everybody else gets paid first.
And nobody talks about how much it hurts when you give somebody an opportunity, trust them, invest in them, and they turn around and take advantage of you.
Or when you work your ass off trying to do the right thing, and somebody intentionally does something that hurts the business you built.
Here’s what people forget.
When you hurt a small business, you’re not just hurting the owner.
You’re hurting the families who depend on that business. You’re hurting the employees who show up every day. You’re hurting the customers who count on us.
And sometimes the hardest part isn’t the money.
It’s realizing that not everybody has the same heart you do.
I haven’t always gotten it right. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve trusted the wrong people. I’ve made decisions I wish I could take back.
But I wake up every single day trying to build something better than what I had yesterday.
I’m not asking anybody to feel sorry for me.
I chose this life. I chose this responsibility.
But I wish more people understood what it actually costs to build something from nothing.
Some days owning a business is the greatest feeling in the world.
Other days, it will absolutely break your heart.
And tomorrow?
I’ll get up and do it again.
Because quitting isn’t an option.
The buffalo doesn’t run away from the storm. It runs straight into it.
To every business owner fighting battles nobody knows about…
