Feeling like I’ve been with my cousin Carrie at all week in my home! I froze peaches, made a fresh peach and merengue pie to share with my neighbors, gave a bunch to my neighbor who lost his peach tree to the heat, and yesterday grilled up a few with sage and thyme from my garden. Carrie is the sweetest peach though! I hope you had an amazing end of peach festival and get to enjoy some time off now! I love you!

I love my cousin Carrie at and the traditions she shares with the community. It was a joyous morning to see her in action making peach cinnamon rolls, then go out and pick peaches in the orchard with her husband Mark near their home! Carrie works relentlessly at her dreams and inspires me to do the same to share ideas with you. I will be enjoying peaches and making treats (ice cream, pies, jam, and salsa) for my neighbors this week!

I follow an account that just posts videos of calm moments. It’s one of my favorite things. Now that we’ve decorated for the holidays I thought I’d create a carousel of some moments I want to remember, particularly Louis snuggled by the fire. He’ll be 18 in May and I pray he’ll live that long. But more importantly that I’ll be able to hold on to all the reasons he’s been the best dog I ever imagined.
