43 years ago, on Oct 15th in 1980 Doris held her very first Pampered Chef Kitchen Show.
Doris was a Home Economics teacher, with two young daughters, and she was looking for a way to be able to bring some income into her family so that she could stay home with her girls.
Family mealtime was very important to her, and she came up with the idea of going into people's homes to share tools, tips, and recipes to make mealtime easier for other families. She had discovered this amazing product, a pizza stone, and at her very first kitchen show, she prepared a frozen pizza on the stone. Her guests were in awe....and so it began!
