Hi, I’m Shelbi Habib, the owner and Interior Designer of The Ivy Interiors! I haven’t introduced myself in a while so for everyone that’s new - a warm welcome. For all of you who have been cheering me on since the start (2018!) thank you - I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your support.
I’m originally from Indiana and went to the IU Kelly School of Business where I earned my degree in Business Marketing. (Shoutout IU right now! 🏈) From there I worked in a creative role in the corporate world and slowly shifted my focus to helping small businesses grow, knowing that I eventually wanted to follow my entrepreneurial spirit and open my own company. I knew from as young as elementary school that interior design was my passion, my calling, and what I hoped more than anything I’d get to do someday.
Just 3 short years after moving to Arizona in 2015, I started making the moves to open my own design firm, and The Ivy Interiors was born!
On a more personal level, I am married and we have 2 kids, Lila (5) and Conner (16). In my free time I love to garden, try out new restaurants, hangout with my friends and family, travel, watercolor, take a bath 😂, relax at home, and love on our 2 golden-doodle dogs.
To me, design is all about creating something you love. I am not a big trend follower and I really prefer something to be more curated, classic, and lasting. I’m a huge fan of mixing design styles, mixing textures, and mixing finishes. To me, almost nothing should be a direct match - furniture/decor/finishes should complement each other, never compete, and always be cohesive! My entire persona is “Lived in Luxury” - where design and functionality meet.
