This set went home back in July…I’m just now getting around to getting caught up on posts🙃 It was such a huge set with the most gorgeous flame mahogany wood tops, they seriously looked like they were on fire when you walked past them! It also had a headboard that came from my amazing return clients’ family that now matches all of the pieces. It is now a gorgeous heirloom bedroom set fit for a princess

I’ve been so far behind posting finished pieces as I complete them. I’ve truly been being very meticulous with my time online with how negative and saddening each day online seems to be. Then I get so behind I feel like “what’s the point” Well, no more! I’m getting my butt caught up, one piece that was finished months ago at a time! And maybe, just MAYBE I’ll have some more videos for your viewing pleasure soon too 🫣 This piece came to me broken and completely dry rotted. It was a special piece to my client though, so I solidified all the soft spots, repaired the rest, and kept the seat as original to what her mother sat upon all those years ago 🩷 It was sealed up with all outdoor appropriate finishes and ready for another 50+ years outdoors under the family pine tree.

I have a piece available for sale WHAT?! Yes, I’m still active doing furniture, I’ve just been very strategic with my time online, well, because it’s a dumpster fire. 🫣
This monochromatic dresser is hiding a little secret, it actually has center drawer panels that you can remove the hardware and switch out. Center options are a Hickory wood tone, red, and green. I think it’s lovely how it is, but sometimes you just wanna switch it up a little. Dimensions are 56 inches long, 18 1/4 inches deep, and 34 1/4 inches tall. This piece is SOLID and offers smooth sliding drawer slides. Priced at $400.

This sweet little Thomasville side table has had quite the whirlwind of a week! From being cast out of its previous home and onto the streets, to getting a full refresh and revamp, and now it’s looking for its new home! Refinished using Fusion Mineral Paint “Bayberry” and Minwax polyurethane to protect the mahogany wood top, and Polycrylic to cover the body. Dimensions are 16 3/4 inches wide, 14 1/2 inches deep, and 27 inches tall.

If a piece of furniture could tell you its story…all the lives it has lived. The homes it has sat in. The vehicles it was transported in. The changing of hands being passed down through generations. Decades of stories, nearly a CENTURY of stories! I imagine the adventures in my head as I work on pieces sometimes. And this piece. THIS PIECE. I could write a book just about the life it lived since sitting in my work shop since October. 🫣 Soon after welcoming it into my shop, I came down with shingles and was out of commission for most of the month. Then in November, our son’s thyroid suddenly shut down and he had to spend the week up at Children’s hospital. Which was then followed by more doctors tests and visits all of December. This cabinet just sat there the whole time, so patiently. Waiting until I could finally pull myself out of full blown depression/burn out. And if I’m being honest, and not at all dramatic: this piece truly brought me back. I had full artistic freedom with this piece, and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it from day one. The only thing pushing me to keep going was the vision of it finished in my head. It had waited so long for me to get my p**p in a group and it deserved all of me to restore it. So I gave it. Day by day, more and more, until finishing wasn’t an obstacle, it was once again my purpose. I may have brought this piece back to life, but words cannot even come close to describing how much this piece saved mine.
