Today the question keeps coming up, "OK, but how did you START reselling?"

So, I'll go back a little more...I don't spend allot of time thinking about the past, but I understand that you need to know where you've been to know where you're going.
"There's a practical reason the windshield is big and the rear view mirror is small: Where you are going is vastly more important than where you've been"
I'll need therapy to go back any further than this, but here goes
(I'm 'bout ready to write a dang book 😳).

15 years ago, I came up with another crazy idea to continue in my journey as a reseller. My dishwasher was leaking 😡 and I was picking up a part at the hardware store when I spotted a building for rent at 3801 Douglas Ave. I was 47 years old 😳 and long past having a brick and mortar store as the 9 to 5 thing just doesn't work for me. But there was something about that old school house 💕 and the vastness of the space that made me want to do it again...open a retail store, deal with the public, start the never ending work of buying and selling estates to fill a store of this size.
Now, I take the time to look back and reflect on just how I got here...WOW, WHAT A RIDE...3 new grandchildren, 4 weddings (3 divorces 🙄), hundreds of estates sales and who knows how many auctions and warehouse sales!!!!
And to anyone who says "I WOULD LOVE YOUR JOB", "THIS MUST BE SO FUN" and to everyone who had decided to be a reseller because "IT'S SUCH EASY MONEY", I've decided to sit down and write out my history. Partly to relive it, and partly to show that there are ups and downs, ALOT of work, and learning along the way.
I run an estate business-I see all the things you can't take with you, I see the families arguing about STUFF. I clean out houses and hesitate for just a minute before I close the door to appreciate that a family lived there, loved there, had Christmas and birthday parties, weddings and new babies. And then, it's gone.
So, if you got this far, let me tell you...
Time FLIES
Start TODAY
Do what makes YOU happy
Believe in yourself
Know your worth
Don't give up
Buy the tickets, take the vacation, enjoy a day off
Be kind
I am thankful for every lesson, every success, every failure.

I posted a few weeks ago, trying to save the lives of some plants that, sadly for them, were entrusted to me to keep alive (mistake #1).... Anyway, they were claimed really quickly (lucky for the plants) and someone was heartbroken to not get one because her kitchen is decorated in all bird houses. It's been on my mind since then, and when this cutie trash can came in, I knew I needed to get it to her, but I don't know who she was. Can anyone help? I think her name was Jody, but I'm not sure.
