HOLD FAST TO GOD’S TRUTH IN DIVIDED TIMES

God calls us to use the wisdom He has given us and the discernment of the Holy Spirit to recognize when division is being stirred among us.

Isaiah 5:20 warned of a world that flips truth upside down, calling evil good and good evil.

We must be careful not to be persuaded by voices that sound confident yet lead us away from God’s truth.

When a society trades God’s standard for its own, the result is always the same—confusion, brokenness, and loss.

Isaiah reminds us to stay anchored, to test what we hear, and to cling to what is truly good, even when the world insists otherwise.

May we choose wisdom over reaction, unity over division, and faith over fear.🙏

Day 12 of my 12 Days of Christmas “ This is why I thrift”version! I'm absolutely thrilled to have scored my very own incredible shredder at a price my hisband loved! It’s been on my list for years! This fantastic find is perfectly timed for our jam-packed yard work schedule, enabling us to maintain our backyard's clean look with ease and efficiency.

Day 11 of my version of The 12 Days of Christmas “Why I Thrift” version!
Scripture + Cross stitch = ❤️❤️
Embracing God's Word as my steadfast anchor has been a cornerstone of my life, and my love for cross stitch is no secret. Someone poured their heart into stitching this beautiful piece, titled Never Alone, which resonates deeply with me. It's a powerful reminder that with God guiding me, I'll never walk alone. May you too find solace in His presence, and may His Word be your anchor, always within reach.
I cherish this piece I found tucked away at an antique store and I hang it proudly as a reminder to me.

Day 10 of my 12 Days of Christmas version of 'This is why I Thrift!' I'm thrilled to share my fantastic find - a beautiful copper tea kettle discovered at the World's Longest Yard Sale this summer. After a thorough cleaning, it has become a stunning addition to our entryway, perfectly reflecting our personal style. Adding vintage treasures like this not only enhances our home's aesthetic but also reminds me of the joy of sustainable shopping and the potential for renewal in unexpected places.

Day 9 of my 12 Days of Christmas version of “This is Why I Thrift” !
I had a dear friend tell me a few Christmases ago that she collects Nativity scenes that are kid friendly so her grandchildren could actually play with them - not the fancy glass or expensive sets. I decided then that was a great Christmas item to start collecting too! I have found a few over the last year but I’m always looking for kid friendly ones. Here below are a few that my grandson can play with all he wants. And hopefully I’ll find some special ones for more and more grandkids in tne future!
I’ve added my favorite Nativity that I’ve had for many years - and this one sits high up out of the way!

Day 8 of The 12 Days of Christmas version of “Why I Thrift”! Bells! 🔔 I’ve recently uncovered a treasure trove of unique finds at local antique stores, defying my long-held notion that collecting wasn’t my thing. Take, for instance, this stunning country blue bell adorned with ducks – a nostalgic piece that instantly transported me back to my childhood, where my mother’s decor was a testament to the same rustic charm. What makes this piece even more remarkable is the sticker indicating it was made in the year I graduated high school! This find was followed by the discovery of several exquisite Christmas bells, including a breathtaking nativity scene. I'd love to hear about some of the beautiful bells you've discovered and the stories behind them.

Day 7 of The 12 Days of Christmas version of “Why I Thrift”!
Furniture. I’m not always looking for furniture when I’m antique shopping but every now and then a piece will catch my eye. This dresser below is a beautiful Thomasonville heavy solid wood dresser. A dear friend of mine, bought it at an estate sale to refinish, but being a young mom with two toddlers she just did not have the time and sold it to me. The first time I saw this dresser, I thought that is something I may want to refinish and keep for myself! All summer of 2025 it was a labor of love. I sanded, re-stained and patched this beautiful dresser! I think it adds so much beauty to our living room! I love the curves, the hardware and the dark wood stain of this piece! I do love to find furniture pieces that I know I can refinish and have been successful in selling a few. Refurbishing furniture has become something I love to learn and attempt piece by piece!
