A special anniversary bouquet, designed by Marcela, for two of our 🤩 people in the 🌎. Colorful, vibrant and full of meaning — like love should be.

Delphinium for joy and an open ♥️. Marigolds for 🔥, passion and remembrance. Lisianthus for gratitude and enduring bonds. Zinnias for lasting affection and friendship. Rudbeckia for resilience and encouragement. Fern for sincerity, growth and new beginnings.

And 🦋— a symbol of transformation, joy and a love that continues to grow and change over time.

Designed in a Blue Sky Clayworks vase with flowers from OneFunGal Flowers, Brooke’s Flower Farm, Piedmont Wholesale Flowers, Stemz and a few extra goodies from Mayesh Raleigh.

Juan walked by these designs and said, “You’ve got to post these!” 🌺🌿

We agreed.

Randy created these tropical pieces for a cocktail party, and they were simply too good to stay behind the scenes.

To connect the dots, we wanted to show you where flowers like these begin their journey. Swipe to see behind-the-scenes photos from Green Point Nurseries in Hawaii! We asked our sales rep, Chuck, if he could share a few warehouse and greenhouse photos, and Sundance from the Green Point team happily obliged, giving us a glimpse of where the magic begins.

As third-generation florists, we have a special appreciation for multi-generational family businesses. That’s one of the reasons we’ve loved working with Green Point for nearly a decade, after our flower friend Lyn Graves of Fresh Affairs introduced us. (You should follow them! Amazing designs!)

Founded by Harold Tanouye and now led by his son, Eric Tanouye, Green Point has remained true to its roots as a family business for generations. We love partnering with people who believe flowers carry a sense of place and who pour generations of knowledge and passion into everything they grow.

Mahalo to Eric, Chuck, Sundance, and the entire Green Point team for all you do, to Juan for insisting these designs deserved their moment, and to Randy for creating these tropical stunners. We’re grateful to have friends and partners like you helping us bring a little aloha to Raleigh. 🌺💚

THIS is the time of year to support local flower farms—and luckily for all of us, North Carolina growers are currently facing a very beautiful dilemma: their fields are bursting with blooms. We’re here to help. 🌻

Meet the Kendall Bouquet, designed by Kate in our favorite 4.5” × 4.5” Kendall vase from Accent Decor. This summer’s palette celebrates rich greens, warm terra cotta, golden hues and crisp whites with locally grown flowers from Stemz, One FunGal Flower Farm and Brooke’s Flower Farm, plus premium blooms from Piedmont Wholesale Flowers.

Because we source from local growers throughout the week, every Kendall is one of a kind. The exact flowers and vase color may vary, but each design is filled with the freshest, most beautiful blooms available right now.

Support local farms. Send gorgeous flowers. Help us solve this blooming dilemma—one Kendall at a time. 😉

Available for same-day delivery throughout the Triangle.

🌺 Happy Hump Day! 🌺

Need a little vacation vibe? Consider this your tropical getaway… no passport required. 🌴☀️

This beauty was headed to Pittsboro—an area we don’t typically deliver to—but since we already had deliveries in Cary and Apex, we happily made it happen.

As Cydney drove the route, she kept thinking, “I wonder if this is going to the Terri I know?”

When Terri called after her flowers arrived (safely tucked away with neighbors until she got home—we never simply drop and leave), Cydney asked, “Are you Terri The Food Fairy?”

Sure enough, she was.

Terri has catered several English family gatherings over the years, and her chocolate figgy pudding is still legendary around here. ❤️ One flower delivery turned into catching up on life, sharing updates, and planning for Terri to cater next year’s staff holiday dinner.

It’s one of our favorite parts of what we do.

Flowers connect people.

Kevin C knows the names of our subscribers’ pets (and if they might enjoy a little ear scratch). Mr. Ron has made friends over fishing stories shared at a delivery stop. Gus knows exactly what our friends at Brummitt Jewelry love each week. Juan knows Caroline loves to send our Flower Flash. Padrick knows when Maggie prefers to send a plant… and when a wrap 💐 best fits the occasion.

Every arrangement has a story. Every delivery is a chance to brighten someone’s day—and sometimes reconnect old friends.

Those little moments? They’re our everyday getaway. 🌺💚

🌼 Around the Garden... 🌼

Some weeks are impossible to sum up in just one photo... so here’s a little peek behind the petals and fun we’ve had in July so far.

🎶 Delivering flowers that rocked at the Paul Simon concert.

🐊 Creating a wildly fun gator centerpiece for a birthday celebration.

🐯 Welcoming adorable new friends (say hello to Roary!) to the shop.

💍 Filling summer weekends with beautiful weddings.

🌻 Falling head over heels for North Carolina’s incredible summer blooms.

⭐ Installing a lush smilax treatment that stopped us in our tracks.

☕ Discovering a new favorite coffee stop while out delivering smiles.

🪴 Sharing our July Plant of the Month—the ever-traveling Airplane Plant.

🌸 Learning together at our all-hands training as Marcela shared her bouquet wrapping magic.

It’s the little moments between the big events that make us a team and make our days special. Every delivery route, every design table, every wedding aisle, every new product, every coffee break, every laugh with this amazing crew—they all become part of the story.

Thank you for following along and letting us share a little of our world with yours. 💛

What’s been your favorite part of summer so far? 🌼

Some pics are too special to leave in our camera roll.
A few months ago, our team had the privilege of visiting the historic W.I. Patterson Community Center in Durham’s Crest Street neighborhood. Somehow, between flowers, weddings, and everyday life, we never shared this incredible day.
Our beloved Mr. Ron organized the experience as a Black History Month staff activity for EG. The visit was especially meaningful because the community center is named for his father, Willie “W.I.” Patterson, whose leadership helped preserve the Crest Street community.

We learned about the neighborhood’s remarkable history of activism, resilience, and community from Donzell Patterson, Ernest Basson, Wayne Odom, Audrey Odom, Kathy Patterson, and Anthony Patterson, who shared powerful stories of Crest Street’s past and future. We ended the afternoon with lunch from Durham’s iconic Chicken Hut.

Now comes the full-circle part...
Mr. Ron recently celebrated his 70th birthday. We challenged ourselves to collect 70 books for 70 years to honor this milestone. We’re thrilled to say we’ve already reached that goal!
Those books will become Mr. Ron’s Reading Room at the W.I. Patterson Community Center—a tribute to Mr. Ron, his family, and their extraordinary legacy of service.

But we’d love to keep going.

If you have a gently loved (or new!) book (particularly kid’s books) you’d like to share, we’d be honored to include it. Drop your donations off at The English Garden and help us fill Mr. Ron’s Reading Room with stories for the next generation. 📚

And one last thing...

I’ll always be grateful for the day Mr. Ron was my Uber driver. One unforgettable conversation later, I asked him to consider joining us at EG.
The rest is history.
Our customers adore him. Our team loves him. He brings kindness, wisdom, and joy everywhere he goes. We are incredibly lucky to call him part of The English Garden family.

Thank you, Mr. Ron, for reminding us that the greatest legacy we leave is the one we invest in others. ❤️

Special thanks to Avery Mason Photography for the pictures of our visit.

We’re not ready to put the fireworks away… the flower fireworks, that is. 🌸✨

July is peak season in North Carolina for local blooms, and we are absolutely here for it. Today our friends at Piedmont Wholesale Flowers rolled in with a bumper crop of summer goodness:

💜 Ageratum
💛 Strawflower
🌼 Zinnias
🌾 Celosia
💚 Amaranthus
🌸 Echinacea pods

And can we all agree that a day when it’s raining amaranthus in the studio is a very good day? 💚

Juan and Marcela sure do. Juan had so much fun unpacking today’s treasures, proof positive that beautiful flowers + good people = the best kind of workday.

Here’s to stretching every minute out of summer… because these blooms deserve their own grand finale. 🎇

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from all of us at The English Garden! ❤️🤍💙

We’ve been running on a skeleton crew for the past few days while some of our team enjoys a little well-deserved R&R. It has been a quiet but joyfully flower filled week. We had the honor of helping two wonderful couples walk down the aisle and adding a little summer color to holiday cookout tables with our Bouquet of the Month and special occasions with designs by Gus, Gene and Anastasia.

These patriotic beauties, designed by Cydney, are a sneak peek at our newly expanded Designer’s Choice collection rolling out over the next few weeks. We can’t wait to share more!

Flowers featured from our friends at Piedmont Wholesale Flowers, Greenpoint Nursery, and Mayesh Raleigh.

Wishing you a safe, happy, and flower-filled Fourth! 🇺🇸✨

Today, beauty was riding shotgun. 🌸🚚

One of our favorite things at The English Garden is marrying flowers grown farther afield with our favorite summer blooms grown right here in North Carolina.

Today’s deliveries featured tropical treasures from Greenpoint Nurseries in Hawaii, Dutch hydrangeas from Potomac Floral Wholesale, Ecuadorian roses from EC Flowers and beautiful NC-grown blooms from Stemz & Burkett—coming together to create arrangements full of texture, color, and a little bit of magic.

Kevin C. captured these flower moments on one of his delivery routes today. His favorite was our Big Bloom Theory bouquet (Slide 1), designed by Gene.

✨ Which bouquet is your favorite?
