From wallpaper events to vendor meetings, client presentations, installs, and everything in between, this month was full in the best way. It’s always amazing looking back and seeing how much can happen in just a few weeks.

We’re so grateful for every client, collaboration, and opportunity that continues to grow Jess Borrelli Designs. Excited to see what June has in store for us!

Hey everyone, Olivia here! I wanted to share a little bit about when I started and my journey with Jess Borrelli Designs.

When I first started, our studio was basically a little folding table that Jess and I shared, surrounded by what felt like a million samples with nowhere to put them. I’ve been lucky enough to watch everything come together from the very beginning, whether that be the exciting moments, the stressful moments, and all the chaos in between. We’ve had furniture break, shelves fall on both of us while building sample displays, delayed orders, and plenty of long days trying to figure things out as we went.

If I am being honest, I wouldn’t change any of it. Watching the studio and Jess Borrelli Designs grow over the past 6 months has taught me so much, both creatively and personally. Seeing the amount of hard work, passion, and dedication that goes on behind the scenes every single day makes everything we create feel that much more special.

I’m so grateful to be part of this journey and excited for everything that’s still to come. Scroll to the end to see the before & after transformation of the studio, it’s hard to believe how far it’s come!

Mixing patterns always gets overcomplicated online, but in reality it comes down to a few simple decisions.

I always start with one strong pattern to set the direction, then build around it by varying the scale (this is the part most people skip), mixing in different pattern styles, and grounding everything with solids so it can actually breathe.

When it works, nothing is perfectly “matched” which makes the space feel truely lived in.
