Help on area rug. This is a decent sized entryway and trying to decide do I fill up the space (blue line) or reduce to the sidelight and doorway size (red line) with an area rug? Please provide your feedback. Cabinet and bench are staying. I am thinking of painting entryway (at least where the bench is) and removing the coat tree. Opinions and ideas welcomed. I'm decorating in a modern organic theme with pops of color throughout the house. Currently all walls are Pure White SW. Thx.

A couple of things are bothering me about my foyer. My livingroom is painted a linen color and I didn’t do the ceiling of the foyer because I wanted to do something special there, but can’t figure out what. I don’t want it to be too busy because I have floral wallpaper over the hanging hooks, and that wall is a black cherry color. I also want to do something up the staircase wall, probably some wood paneling. But sometimes I do too much and I get the feeling I’m going that way in this space. (I’m willing to redo that entry wall if I need to.) I’ve looked at it too much now and have decision paralysis! Thoughts?
