I say goodbye to my client and friend American painter, Forrest Moses, who passed away here in Palm Springs on January 22. It was a privilege to collaborate on his home and studio here. An interior designer himself earlier in his career, he taught me a lot about experiencing space, light, and the Japanese aesthetic. I will treasure our time together.

What isn't entirely evident here is that all the cabinets, upper and lower, are matte glass. All the way up to the soffit line. You can lift them with your pinky finger and they stay up and out of the way until you gently nudge them down.

Powder Rooms are fun to design but difficult to photograph. If it interests you, notice how the mirror and marble sink have faceted edges. I repeated the angles in the cabinetry.
