Before you renovate, restyle!

This room went from Boho-inspired to Parisian Glam with just a few styling changes proof that good design is often about layering, texture, and lighting, not starting from scratch.

Sometimes transforming a space doesn’t require new furniture or a full remodel. Small, thoughtful changes can completely shift the mood of a room.

In this space, a few simple updates made all the difference:
• a new statement light fixture
• soft linen curtains to brighten the room
• a couch cover to refresh an existing piece
• and a few carefully chosen accessories
• we did add the built in cabinets for extra storage space

These are some of the simplest and most affordable ways to update a room while completely changing its style.

It’s been 24 years since I started with small home flips, never imagining that journey would grow into turning KSB Designer Homes into the powerhouse it is today. What began as a passion for design has evolved into a calling far bigger than beautiful spaces.
Alongside my daughter Eya, I’ve had the honor of helping build a nonprofit called Make It Your Home. What started as her helping me stage homes when she was just 11 years old turned into a mission to help families starting over after domestic violence, homelessness, and crisis. She saw firsthand how many families were placed into empty apartments or given old, depressing furniture and how hard it was to feel hopeful or truly “at home.”
At just 16 years old, she took a leap of faith and founded Make It Your Home. Together, we now design and fully furnish homes for families in need absolutely free for them by using donated furniture and décor, transforming empty spaces into warm, dignified homes where healing can begin.
As we head into 2026, we are incredibly excited to share that this will be a BIG year for us and we will soon be celebrating our one-year anniversary 🎉 In just our first year, we’ve already seen lives changed through the power of thoughtful design and community support.
Until now, KSB Designer Homes has been proudly supporting the nonprofit by purchasing all of the necessities that were not donated, from linens and pillows to plants and finishing touches that truly make each space feel like home.
Now, as we grow, we’re looking for help from our amazing community, partners, and donors so we can continue expanding our impact.

This beautiful Laguna Niguel home had an amazing potential. Who said that you always need to change everything in a kitchen? My client was looking for bright coastal look, but didn't want new cabinets, nor were they a fan of white cabinets. The kitchen was dingy and dark and finding the right light beige color was the only way we can achieve my clients requirements. My painter Felipe did an amazing job with the cabinet paint and Marcos and the crew did exactly what I was looking for in this space. I used Pottery Barn Chandeliers, new PB dining room table and chairs and the space turned exactly what my client was looking for.
For the formal dining room, my client insisted on keeping their dining room table so we had to work off of the chrome which tends to look more modern. New chandelier and chairs brought the coastal feel my client was looking for.

A sweet neighbor who has been following me for a while, contacted me to do a WOW factor in her apartment. We had a strict budget but the only furniture we kept was her mattress, night stands and lamps. Most of everything we found was Z Gallerie, RH and my favorite staging stores. We hustled to find all the furniture and have this beauty done in few days just for her B-Day!
