First off I want to say thank you for all the comforting words that you all have commented and privately messaged me this week. I promise I have read each one just easier to make a mass post. Speaking on behalf of my family we truly appreciate each and every one of yall. I swear I have the best customers in the state!!

So this is my current game plan for the week. It’s a long post so bear with me. 

I will be closed Monday in observance of Labor Day.
With being closed this week I don’t have any fresh flowers at the shop and won’t be able to get any until Tuesday.

Tuesday morning there’s an errand that I have to knock out first thing. I plan on being back at the shop by 10. If I’m running behind I will post on here. Please let traffic work in our favor.

Wednesday I have a meeting that I have to attend to in Richmond. I will take the shop phone with me and return any call that I get that morning. Normally I only work until 1 on Wednesdays so we will see how things go depends on if I’ll be at the shop.

Thursday and Friday should be normal. Fingers crossed 🤞

If anything changes throughout the week I will make another, not as long, of a post.

These are the arrangements for our dad. I will be at the shop tomorrow to work on his flowers. So if you need me I’ll be there answering the phone from 11-2

Shelton Powell, age 57, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Marcum and Wallace Hospital in Irvine, Kentucky. He was born on Monday, December 23, 1968, to the late Jesse Powell Sr. and Beulah Powell. He was a member at Panola Baptist in Waco, Ky.

Shelton was a loving father and grandfather who cared deeply for his family. His presence will be greatly missed by his loved ones and all who had the privilege of knowing him. The memories he leaves behind will be cherished by his family for years to come.

He is survived by his two daughters, Daniella (Marcus) Molands and Aimee (Justin) Hollon; and two grandchildren, Annabella Molands and Weston Molands.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home of Irvine. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., immediately following visitation. Private burial at a later date.

Justin Hollon, Stevie Dixon, Randall Carroll, Steve Walters, Malcolm Eversole, and Charles Richardson will serve as active pallbearers.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lewis Funeral Home of Irvine.

I try to be honest with yall at all times and keep you in the loop.
For probably most of this week I will be closed. My sister and I lost our dad on Sunday.
We are at a complete loss for words and just trying to get our ducks in a roll.
So please bear with me for the next little bit. I will post if I’m going to up there even if it’s a few hours.

Despite everything that we are dealing with as always if you need me just send me a message on here and I will get back with you as quickly as possible.
