Arched door jambs can be quite a process when you have to make the jamb fit the door, rather than the door fitting the jamb. Technically, the door jamb should be build prior to building the door, but we made it happen! It’s feels great to have these 2 jobs ready for the customers.

This particular customer asked, if they bring in their old door, if I could match up the hinges. They took the door home and installed it. It came out beautiful!

The journey is about to begin… 🤍

In just a few days, Chris and I will be heading to Europe to begin sourcing for Cuccio Bella Antica and it feels a little surreal to finally say that.

We’ll be wandering antique markets, meeting dealers, exploring old towns and searching for those special pieces that have history, character and a story to tell.

We’re not going with a shopping list of things we can find anywhere. We’re looking for the pieces that make us stop. The ones with beautiful patina, worn finishes, old wood, aged stone and all those imperfections that only time can create.

And this time, we get to bring you along with us.

We’ll be sharing our travels, the places we visit, the people we meet and, of course, some of the treasures we find along the way.

This is the beginning of something Chris and I have dreamed about, and we’re so excited to see where it takes us.

Slowly but surely, we’re getting caught up! 🔨🚪

With the closeout of Jim’s Antique Doors, we ended up with quite a pile of door jambs and projects waiting to be finished. We’ve been steadily working our way through them one door at a time, and it feels good seeing that pile finally getting smaller!

I appreciate everyone’s patience and support through the transition. We’re working hard to get everything completed while also getting Tim’s Door Service and the antique door shop organized and ready for what’s ahead.

Here are a few of the jambs we’ve been knocking out lately. There’s still plenty of work to do, but we’re making progress every day!

Antique doors • Custom jambs • Door repair • Fitting & trimming • Installation

If you’ve got an old door you want brought back to life—or need a jamb built to fit it—give us a shout! 🚪🪚
