Are you happy with the square feet of your home? Do you like the location you are living in? Are you frustrated with the cost of a new home but want one?

If you answered yes think about staying in place and investing in where you at.
Today’s new builds is anywhere from $100-200 per square foot. If your new home is 2000 square feet at 150$ per sf
You are looking at $400-450k minimal to build. This covers all the builders expenses and to make a profit.
If your home is 2000sf and your content where you live to rehab it you’d spend a fraction of the cost and have exactly what you want.
A high-end rehab costs $65-70sf costing around $140k. Depending on where you are at on the loan this could be a better answer.
