Where my work is taking me

For someone who is a natural striver—always pushing myself toward the next idea, the next goal, the next thing—deciding to spend two years simply making work, without a larger agenda, was harder than it sounds.

These recently completed works are a combination of taking the stained color field painting technique and combining my natural fluency for abstract expressionism and use of multiple mediums such as acrylic paint watered down & mixing with oil pastel, acrylic paint straight out of the tube and metallic spray paint.
