My experience with Grizzly over the last 1.5 years has been nothing short of amazing. They truly are a company who believes and supports the makers, the small businesses. “Strength within the Darkness”

Life can present many challenges often causing one to feel trapped, feeling as if the struggle will never end, overwhelmed but unable to ask for help, a need to always appear strong while silently drowning. This collection is about the weight we bear. The darkness that can surround you while still never giving up. And the beauty that can still be found even in the dark. The light will always prevail.

After completing the triptych mountain piece earlier this year for Kristina Ernewein I was amazed at how much I loved the art style. I knew I wasn’t done yet. This collection started with the idea to create unique frames. How I would make those frames never crossed my mind until it was too late. But sometimes when you find yourself in a challenging situation that is when you do your best work.

✨Something incredible has happened✨I won 2nd place in the Grizzly Industrial, Inc. Makers Challenge 2026!!!

When I received the email informing of my placement I re-read it probably 12 times. I kept saying to myself “runner up…runner up…what does that mean?” Then it finally dawned on me - “HOLY SH*T!!! I won!!!”

I still can’t believe it. I’ve continued to re-read that email. Even after the official announcement was made. This means so much. So much more than I could ever put into words.

Thank you to EVERY SINGLE PERSON who voted for me. Your vote helped get me to the Top Ten. But your vote was more than just that. It was another voice saying “Dream big. Don’t give up on it. You can do this.” So thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in me!!!

Representing 42 hours of dedicated work from concept to completion, Nicole brought this lifelike fox to life using 74 hand-cut, hand-shaped pieces based on her own original sketch. Free of dyes, stains, or paint, the design highlights the natural colors of cherry, black walnut, maple, Osage orange, poplar, tree of heaven, and bloodwood on a birch backer, creating a dimensional composition that practically leaps off the wall.

Tomorrow is 11 years of life with the best thing to ever happen to me. Boomer. I never thought we’d get so many amazing years together even though I’ve made him promise every single night that he’ll never leave me. I could go on and on but I’m going to leave it at this. He is the best thing to ever happen to me and my life is better than it ever could have been because of him.
