Today, September 11th, carries a profound weight.
We pause to remember the lives lost on 9/11; the families forever changed, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the countless people whose lives were touched by that day. We remember not only the tragedy, but also the extraordinary courage, compassion, and unity that emerged in its aftermath.
This year, September 11 also falls during Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year; a time of reflection, remembrance, and renewal.
It is a meaningful coincidence that a day marked by such tremendous loss coincides with a holiday centered on looking inward, cherishing those we love, and considering how we can make the year ahead better than the one before.
May today remind us to hold our loved ones a little closer, lead with greater kindness, and never take for granted the ordinary moments that make life so meaningful.
