It took a few minutes to figure out the purpose of this rather large cast iron chicken. Turns out that it is a counter balance for an old windmill. At 65 pounds, we can assure you it won’t fly your coop. It will be at Picket Fence Antiques, at the Junk Bonanza of course.

Fortunately, the American eagle is no longer an endangered species. But this particular species is actually quite rare. Known as a Snow Bird, its purpose was to be placed on roofs above doorways to keep snow from sliding down on people. It might be the only bird that tries to keep stuff from falling on your head! There’s only one and it’s in the Picket Fence Antiques at the Junk Bonanza.
