This Thursday morning we met at A.K. Tea Shop, in our regular corner! We missed Karen but were well cared for by her family of helpers, One person came to get another Wooden Caddy made by George, these are so popular, and make wonderful gifts. I will reorder soon so we have some ready for holidays gifts. Another guest was knitting a gorgeous Cowl from Shi Bui. Next person was focused on a lovely scarf/Shawl on the bias and I was working on a birthday present for a daily member. Working a seed stitch variation with 2 and 2 together over and over, it almost looks like Crochet but of course it is knitted. I am using a very soft and warm 50/50 out of Alpaca and Merino from Shi Bui. A neutral color (cream) with a soft drape and touch. One of my favorite yarns to knit with.
We all had fun going through and discussing the merits of all the yarn I brought. We had a relaxing morning with lots of knitting and delicious food to share. See you next week. Lauran

Well, my niece Rose and I went to visit Debbie Lumpkins Farm and talked to the new Alpaca and admired the great new fencing. It was very exciting.

Tomorrow is Monday July 7th and we have put two yarns on sale. Please call for an appt. to visit and enjoy the 50% off sale on Cascade and Brown Sheep. It begins tomorrow and will continue until we announce that the sale is over! Be certain to call before you come by to visit our summer sale of these two wonderful brands of yarn !

We are planning to have a garage sale in Redmond at the Pahlisch homes known as "Fieldstone Crossing" It is located between Antler and Hemlock in NW Redmond. You can access from Highland and go No. on 27th till you see the sign Fieldstone crossing, multiple houses will be having garage sales including us ! Watch for my ButterflyYarn Car... to find left overs from the shop, storage items, furniture, treasures, yarn marked way down etc.... June 21st, Sat ! Please stop by and find some treasures you cannot resist. I will be able to sell to card users as well as cash... Come and have fun looking at the treasures of others for sale ! Ljpt

Oh, almost forgot we found two more attendees who were also at the tea shop and it was a great visit - we all hope for even more attendees next week. Tuesday or Thursday at 10:15 A.K. Teashop ! The hottest knitting spot in Redmond !

Today we had a wonderful Open Knit at the Tea Shop in Redmond. The tea was delicious, the scones delightful AND Michele showed me how to connect my new shawl so I am knitting in the round. She shared her most recent handspun and hand knit lovely shawl that never falls off, a gorgeous green. Joan came and I used my IPhone to sell her some yarn and it worked like a charm ! Farrr Out. What a great day ! I am rereading Paolo Freire's book on Pedagogy of Hope !

This note is to let you know that we are with 5 min. of downtown Redmond, just call for an appt. 541-526-0015. We are still selling yarn - hand delivery or mail...Mon - Fri. Teaching learn to knit on Fri.
I am Attending Black sheep and will be in Portland the week following. Come to the Tea shop to knit regardless!

This is a nice open ended question and the best part is, I can say the good or the puzzling things I am doing. I am happy to be working from home. There is less stress. I am focusing on what I enjoy with working in fiber. Open Knit has been resumed and is held at A.K. Tea Shop on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 10:15 to 11:45. No location in Redmond is more friendly or has better tea and pastries. This week I am treatingTea & Coffee. Joan Santoro is back from Florida, We had a great time catching up ! Tomorrow, Thursday I expect several others to come and join us, including Michele. I am still buying tea or coffee. I also am bringing yarn in a basket so those who want to touch and feel, can. We had a great time Tuesday and I am looking forward to tomorrow !!! I am working on a Jitterbug Shawl.
This afternoon I went to take pictures of 2 new baby alpaca and all the moms and aunties fussing over the little ones. They are gorgeous, I will bring pictures to share tomorrow and will try to attach some here. Come when you can, everyone is invited that enjoyed Butterfly Yarns! See you soon ! Check the calendar !
