We are very proud to have contributed to this epic restoration of the former Detroit Train Station. Eleek, along with our partner Willamette Pattern Works, used original blueprints to recreate all of the elaborate castings that made up the ornate lighting that had been scrapped at some point in the past. This falls into the area of our work that we call "the three R's" (Restoration, Replication and Retrofitting).
The once-blighted monolithic Michigan Central train station — for decades a symbol of Detroit’s decline — has new life following a massive six-year, multimillion-dollar renovation to create a hub for mobility projects in the rebirth of the Motor City.
