Mark Sears begin woodworking before he was out of high school where he lived in Fairport New York. Creations In Wood was established in 1976 and has been his business ever since. Cabinet making, refinishing antiques, and rustic furniture have been some of the work he has been involved in. Mark also did a major restoration of the Library in Boldt Castle, Alexandria Bay, NY.
But this past year a major health concern had to be addressed. Mark was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer and had to undergo surgery. He has since been cleared of any need to undergo radiation treatment or chemotherapy.
Recovery, though slow, has been coming along well but there has been a loss of income. He and his family are very thankful for the help of friends who have been generous, and a GoFundMe has been set up to help offset ongoing expenses.
