Flow Designs Flow Designs is a Reno-based residential interior design studio specializing in high-end kitchens, sustainable spaces, and wellness-forward living.

We believe your home is the most powerful wellness tool you own — and we design it that way. Flow Designs is a fun, upbeat, residential wellness interior design studio located in the heart of Reno, Nevada. We offer in-home design services, workshops, and interactive creative studio space for you to see fabrics, art, and custom furniture. Flow Designs works with clients to simplify their space and the things in their homes to only have the essentials needed and removing the attachments to material things to create a balance and have a home that exemplifies wabi-sabi and a happy and healthy home.

With some BIG asks for his project.

Me: So, what are we designing for you today?
Him: A doghouse.
Me: Love it. Any material preferences? Reclaimed wood? Natural stone?
Him: Bacon.
Me: …Bacon.
Him: And tacos.
Me: Sustainable, I’ll give you that. Any must-haves?
Him: Snack drawer. Nap zone. Zero baths.

Here’s the thing: whether you’re dreaming up a full kitchen remodel or just want that one corner of your home to finally feel right, no ask is too big or too small. 🌮🥓 Every client gets the same energy from us: we listen, we get curious about how you actually live, and we find a way to make it work, beautifully. At the heart of what I do is one simple belief: everyone deserves a space they’re genuinely happy to call home. 🤍

Not a perfect home. Not a home that follows every trend. A home that feels good to you.

A place where you can exhale when you walk through the door. Where life happens, people gather, kids grow, memories are made, and you feel comfortable just being yourself.

I believe our homes have such a powerful impact on how we feel, how we live, and how we connect with the people we love.

We were at the ballgame when this rolled in over the hills. That’s smoke, not clouds glowing orange against a sky that should’ve just been sunset.

It’s the kind of image that stops you mid-cheer. Somewhere behind that plume, people’s homes were burning.

For so many, this meant “go now” your home is threatened, minutes to grab the most important things and leave. If they were lucky, they had a little time to gather what mattered most.

But what do you grab when your home could be gone in moments?

Our homes are so much more than walls and a roof. They hold cherished memories tucked inside, like a treasure chest of irreplaceable items from people we love, things gathered along our journeys, the photos that can’t be recreated, the space we breathe into after a long day.

Watching that smoke rise, my girls and I talked about home and what it means. We discussed the value of things: homemade art vs. toys, pictures of Nana vs. framed photos from my phone. Some things are totally replaceable, but my mom’s pictures I could never replicate. The conversation was deep for a 5- and 8-year-old, but it was important.

Facing that possibility was scary. Actually losing it is so much more.

As the count of homes lost climbs to nearly 50, my heart is with everyone facing that loss. Even safe and surrounded by loved ones, something irreplaceable was still taken a physical memory erased from the earth.

I hold you in my thoughts, in my prayers, and in my deepest sadness.

I hope you’re able to rebuild a house that becomes, in time, a home again.

Thank you to our firefighters and first responders for saving so many homes and keeping our community safe. Reno, you continue to show up for each other. 🧡

An attempt to be more raw

And not just post the pretty pictures, because it's really not about the pretty pictures! 🤸

Here’s a little look behind the scenes right now:

1️⃣ Started demo on a new bathroom and kitchen — always so exciting to watch a space open up and the real transformation begin.

2️⃣ A bathroom reno for a brand-new client. I can’t wait to help this client bring her space to life — there’s so much depth to her story, and it’s exactly the kind of project I get behind.

3️⃣ Deep in space planning and bringing personality into the layout.

4️⃣ A little inspiration gathered poolside, magazine in hand, while watching my daughters play.

5️⃣ Some friendly new pups I just met for a project starting later this year. I get to watch them play and cuddle them every visit — safe to say they made my day.

6️⃣ A Southwestern-inspired kitchen design — my client and I both have roots in Tucson, AZ, and that shared history is exactly where the love for this style comes from.

7️⃣ Mid-construction on a fabulous kitchen with fabulous clients, working through their electrical plan together.🤸

So much is happening in this fabulous design world lately. I’m really trying to share more than finished projects — the beginning, the middle, the end. Every phase, every client, is a story worth telling. 🤍

I found it at the Habitat for Humanity store, and it changed everything. 🌿

From the doorstep to this. I wasn’t going to let my sit on the floor, so after almost retrofitting a wardrobe from Facebook Marketplace, I wandered into Habitat for Humanity and found this metal cabinet just waiting for me.

Glass door. Built-in fan. A power strip. Storage for everything I need to keep these plants thriving. A computer cabinet turned grow cabinet.

The plants are happier, and the space is prettier.

The kitchen version is in the works, and if the proof of concept looks this good, I can’t wait to show you what’s coming. 👀
