This is a very special antique shot glass made in Bohemia in the 19th century using a technique called Zwischengoldglas. The painted Edelweiss flower is placed between two layers of glass and because the glass is faceted, it appears in a kaleidoscope effect when looking straight down into it. Amazing! Four available each with a different flower. DM us for details. UPDATE: Two have now sold, two are still available.

**SOLD**We have recently added this Hermes (pronounced: air-mayz) boxed set of four mini ashtrays with a fabulous leopard design.

Blue Willow is a favorite china pattern that became popular in England in the 18th century and is collected by many people today. It tells a story of forbidden love between a wealthy Mandarin's daughter and his humble secretary. The father disapproves of their relationship and attempts to force his daughter into an arranged marriage with a wealthy suitor, but the lovers escape together across a bridge to a distant island. When the Father discovers this, he sends out his guards to bring his daughter back but they are unsuccessful as the couple transform into a pair of lovebirds and fly away.

This sweet Blue Willow child's tea set has just arrived in the shop! The set has twenty pieces and is marked "Made in Occupied Japan" dating it between 1945-1952. A wonderful addition to or beginning of a Blue Willow collection! Message us for pricing and availability.

The registry mark dates these to Jan. 2, 1875 however the T C Brown Westhead Moore & Co stamp was used from 1879-1885. Imported and sold through Davis Collamore & Co New York. Davis was a brilliant tradesman and was considered one of the finest purveyors by the European markets. His opinions were sought after by his contemporaries.
