Mulberry Pottery and Antiques is my own little business where I am melding my love and appreciation for antiques and pottery. My wonderful discoveries can be used in shabby chic, french cottage and country farmhouse decorating styles. I also sell handmade pottery wares made by myself and other artisans as well as refinished and re-purposed items. I love to discover treasures at thrift stores, rumm

age sales, on the curbside and at estate sales! I believe I am saving a piece of history, of fine craftsmanship, of someone's personal creation or collection from being forgotten and thrown away and bringing it to life once again to be enjoyed and appreciated by another! This car stops for old barns!!! What a beautiful sight in Clare county, Michigan 🥰 Oooh, my curiosity is up… what could be inside? Just a lil peek? 🤣 I hope you can all find a blessing in your Sunday.

Getting ready to sit down in my vintage wicker chair, sip a refreshing malibu rum and pineapple juice drink and read my American Farmhouse magazine that I placed on my thrifted marble topped side table. I threw in a fern and newly found outdoor cushions I scored at Salvation Army and I now have a comfy little reading area on my deck.

You can also put together something like this by visiting The Beaverton Antique Mall! You will find all sorts of chairs, small tables, wicker pieces and even interesting reading materials!

Happy Saturday from sunny Michigan! 🌞 I worked late into the night washing, tagging and staging more inventory and my shelves still are not filled! OPEN for BUSINESS! I am happy to share that my Etsy shop — Mulberry Pottery and Antiques — is up and running after a long and much needed break. I thought what better day to do this than on July 4th 🇺🇸🎉, a day to celebrate the freedoms that others have fought and sacrificed for that we still have today in the USA!! My 6th great grandfather, paternal grandmother, father, brothers, son and many friends are part of that honorable legacy. I grew up honoring and respecting our flag and all it represents. Freedoms that are undeniably unique to this country. You know, our country is in its infancy compared to most others. Nothing has ever been like it. It’s been evolving as we have learned from past mistakes, some being horrible, and as innovators and scientists of all kinds continuously catapult us into ever changing ways of life (I still can’t grasp new technology!). Even with those mistakes (I don’t mean that word lightly), I do know that people from other countries often share how blessed they feel to be able to live here, work hard and live the American dream. That “dream” is bringing THEIR dream to fruition on their own, no matter what it is…starting their own business, getting an education, fulfilling their calling in life, supporting their family, serving in the military, etc. No government controlling what they do for a living, where they go, how much they have to eat, what they can say and more! They don’t take what we are born with here for granted. I don’t either and as what I feel today relates to Mulberry, I am very proud of my small business that I have been creating and will continue to support all other small businesses that I can and our freedoms . So I hope you all remember to think about the freedoms and choices you had today that allowed you to wake up in a safe place, take pictures, travel, work, share on social media, speak your thoughts, eat, drink, spend time with family, help your neighbor and in the end … also supported all business owners that made it all possible if you think about it! Happy 4th of July!!!!
