This adorable primitive cabinet is in desperate need of a new home! It has been given a makeover in the colors Serenity and Coffee Bean. I'm sure it will make someone very happy! It will be available on Tuesday for purchase at Sneak-A-Peek, in Lexington, MO!

Happy Wednesday!!

It's beginning to look a little shroomy around here!!! We've been getting ready for the Mushroom Festival. This year we are going to have a bunch of t-shirts, in addition to our burlap sacks (already at the shop)! If you see a shirt you want but it's not in your size, send us a message and let's see what we can work out for ya!!!

*All of these shirts will be up at The Nest Egg, by 2pm today 4/19!

*All designs are available but not in all colors.
We currently have t-shirts only (no more of the workout shirts. Those are all at the shop).
In size XL, we have white and a couple of blue. In large, we have gray.
In medium, we have a couple of neon yellow, blue and white.
In small, we have the "lighter" blue and the purple-ish.

Do you mushroom hunt? Do you need a lucky hunting shirt? We got you!!! Have a fabulous day!!!

The newest project!!! Aren't llamas the best?! This hutch was updated with the new Terra Clay Paint line from Dixie Belle Paints! It makes distressing, ombre and blending a dream! This piece was done in the colors daffodil and prairie dawn (wasn't that a sesame street character 🤔) and waxed with brown wax. I just love it and it might be my most favorite project to date! Plus it adds much needed storage to my 125+ year old house!!!

**We have some exciting news coming to The Nest Egg!!**

As of this coming weekend, July 30th, we will carry the entire Dixie Belle Paint catalog - including ALL THREE paint lines 🤯! Say what???!!! This is so exciting for us (and you hopefully)! We have an assortment of brushes and brush cleaners! We have glazes, waxes, stains, top coats, applicators, buffers, sanding sponges, wood glue, the Patina paints, the Metallics, transfers, rice decoupage paper, an assortment of handy tools to aid you with your creations and we finally have GATOR HIDE back in stock (but a limited quantity and only in 16 oz size for now).

*We mainly carry the 4oz and 8oz sizes of the Chalk Mineral Paints but can get 16oz and 32 oz by request (and a gallon with a prepaid order).
*We carry the 16 oz size Silk Paints with only a few 32oz ones. There are only a few colors offered in the 32 oz size and we've got them!!
*The new Terra Clay Artisan Paint line only comes in the 16oz size. Currently we only offer the Terra Seal as the Terra Wax isn't available at the moment. But you better believe once it is, we'll have it!!

We might not be an "Elite" dealer but we carry more than most "Elite" dealers!!! If we don't have something you need, we can find it for you or order it.

The latest completed piece!!

This antique, waterfall dresser was given a modern facelift while still embracing all the imperfections that made it "well loved." The body was painted in Dixie Belle Silk Paint in the color Midnight Green. It was then wax with Dixie Belle Best Dang Wax in black. The drawer fronts were stripped and then stained with Dixie Belle Paint No Pain Gel Stain in the color Walnut - then waxed with Big Mama's Butta in the Flannel scent. I think that just made the color of the wood pop. The veneer is just beautiful! I then painted the pulls copper and polished the brass in the color copper as well then used black wax to age them a bit. I was made sturdy again with some help. New feet were added so that it nearly glides over hardwoods.

First Look Friday!!!!

I have transformed yet another family heirloom!!! This was also another special custom job.

This piece was built locally (in Higginsville, MO) in 1935 by someone with the initials of AJ! We discovered this while taking it apart!! He wrote this on an inside wall, under a drawer and under a shelf. I left it visible under the shelf and under the drawer. The outside was painted in Dixie Belle Silk Paint in the color of Deep Sea and the inside was Dixie Belle Silk Paint in the color Baja Gray.

This hutch originally belonged to my sister Heather Hoeflicker Gentry's grandmother. It now belongs to her aunt Pat Simpson. So even though we aren't blood family, it was for family lol!!

Pat recently redid her bathroom (which is BEAUTIFUL) and needed some extra space for bathroom things. This piece she already had but decided to repurpose it for her new space.

Unlike other pieces I've redone, I completed it at her house. It took me about 5 trips and about 2 hours per visit to complete. And let me tell you, I had so much fun! I really didn't know Pat very well but over those trips, we had so much fun talking and getting to know each other. She is my sister's aunt and I'm so happy that I had that opportunity to get to know her more (even if she was paying me to do work for her lol).
