To everyone participating in events....please make sure you are responding, signing up for, and paying the party hosting events. Most announcements regarding events have applications with information about the event and contacts and payment methods to reach out to. If you are not familiar with the organization, please call the number on the flyer or application to confirm before responding to individuals who reach out directly pretending to be associated with an event. We live in a sad world where hackers and scammers are getting more clever in their endeavors to deceive people and collect money that doesn't belong to them. We just found out that this happened with one of our vendors trying to sign up for our event. If you receive a response from a Melissa Trias, Lorraine Walston, or someone on this attached thread, do not respond or send money to them.
