Our project samples for the May Makealong Mornings are here! We’re spending the rest of our Saturday mornings in May working our way through Ranunculus by and Cloudbreak Tee by .and.pine.designs one stitch at a time. Both of these patterns have been knit by our beloved Carla, and have been highly recommended by her for a first garment-knitting project. For those needing guidance with understanding pattern reading and knitting techniques, we’ll have in-depth workshop time available both May 9th and 16th 10-11 am for $20. And for experienced knitters, our open Makealong group time will be meeting up 10:30-12:30 pm every Saturday morning through the end of May. We can’t wait to see you there! 🧶✨🌞

We cannot wait for this new class coming up on Saturday: Large Scale Ceramics w/ Lynne Glass!! Going bigger isn’t just about muscling through massive amounts of clay on the wheel. Ceramicist Lynne Glass is here to share her years of experimenting with combining leather-hard components to form substantial pieces, both on the wheel and in handbuilding. The first two classes will be focused on working in clay with the third day discussing how to glaze larger bisque-fired pieces. This class is open to students working in either handbuilding or on the wheel, but does require a minimum of some basic experience working with clay by adventurous beginners.

Saturdays, Feb 28th, Mar 7th & 21st 10 am-12 pm *Note: Class skips the week of Mar 14th to give pieces adequate drying time before bisque firing*

All supplies and firing included, limited spaces available. Sign up in advance on our website!

Hey there Ghost fans, where y’all at?! Don’t miss our first ever Valentine’s Day date night in the ceramics studio! ♥️ Tired of the same old date night? Try mixing it up slinging some mud around! Local potter, Elisha Frazier, will guide couples through an experience together working on pottery wheels. Techniques will include centering clay and forming a basic bowl. Getting on a wheel is tons of fun, and each person will have the opportunity to keep one piece as a memento.

Due to being a single class experience, Ply staff will take care of the trimming, glazing, and firings later, giving attendees three glazes to choose from. This process normally takes two weeks for drying, firing, glazing, and then a second final firing before pieces can be picked up.

♥️ Valentine’s Day, Sat, Feb 14th, 4:30-6:30 pm, all supplies and firings included. $120 per couple, limited spots available! Call, stop in, or head to our website to get signed up ♥️
