The 3” high gloss Lacquer frame in traditional scoop profile compliments Marylin in her black dress, while also befitting of the era of the photo. With 3.5” 8ply slight off white mat to match the white values of the photo, and museum glass for clarity. Overall size is about 57”x53”. Stunning 😍 🖼️ 💋

Mark Catesby (1683-1749) antique hand colored botanical engravings. Catesby was a well known predecessor of the famous James Audubon (1785-1851) in the world of botanical and bird (ornithology) prints which were meant to spread the knowledge of different botanical and animal species to different countries (As there was no internet back then). Catesby employed earlier engraving techniques that would later be replaced by the faster and more cost effective lithography techniques for print making. 🌱 🌺 🖼️
