Our client had the vision and was ready to manage her kitchen renovation herself — she just wanted a designer in her corner to help her confidently make decisions and keep the project moving forward.
And sometimes that means telling you not to do something.
In this kitchen, our client considered using a darker grout to pull out the veining in the marble. In theory? It made sense. But we knew it would compete with the stone, create too much contrast, and ultimately take away from the beautiful, elevated aesthetic we were creating.
It’s a small decision that could have made a BIG difference in the finished space — and exactly the kind of detail that’s easy to second-guess (or get wrong) when you’re making hundreds of decisions during a renovation.
