SOLD!!! LATE 19TH-CENTURY JAS. SHOOLBRED & CO. MAHOGANY OCCASIONAL TABLE

This is one of those pieces that becomes more interesting the closer you look! Dating to circa 1880, this English mahogany table features an unusual octagonal top, beautifully turned legs, original casters and the most charming spindle-galleried lower tier—almost like a tiny basket suspended between the legs.

Even better, it retains its original maker and retailer plaque, which reads:

Jas. Shoolbred & Co. was a highly regarded London furniture maker and retailer, and the surviving plaque gives this beautifully constructed table wonderful provenance.

Recently imported from England and in very good antique condition, with the expected character and surface wear of a piece nearly 150 years old.

VINTAGE ENGLISH TEAK CHEST OF DRAWERS

I spotted this chest on my last sourcing trip, and of course, the teak immediately caught my eye. I have always loved mid-century teak—the warmth of the wood, its rich color and the beautiful variation in the grain.

Dating to the 1960s–70s, it features two upper drawers over three full-width drawers, paneled sides and original brass swing pulls.

I absolutely LOVE when a customer sends me a photo of one of my pieces in its new home — and I had to share this one! 😍

This beautiful 1963 Magnavox Stereo Console recently found its new home, and boy what a perfect new home!

I purchased this Magnavox about 8 or 9 years ago from its original owner, who had taken incredible care of it. More than 60 years later, it still had its original manuals, service paperwork, warranty certificate and even an unused replacement diamond stylus — all kept together in the original envelope inside the cabinet.

I enjoyed it in my own home for years as a TV console simply because I loved the design, and when I finally decided to sell it, I really hoped it would go to someone who appreciated just how special it was.

Well…I think we can safely say it found the right home. ❤️

And LOOK at it against those gorgeous gold panels!! 😍 It couldn’t have landed in a better spot.

Thank you, Janae, for sending me the photo, for letting me share it, and most of all for giving this 63-year-old beauty its next chapter.

This is the fun part of selling vintage. 🥰

Not your everyday Lane Acclaim coffee table. 🤎

Designed by Dutch designer André Bus for Lane Furniture, the Acclaim collection was introduced in October 1958 and became one of the most recognizable lines in American Mid-Century Modern design.

This rare drop-leaf version was produced on April 25, 1959—within the first year of Acclaim production. Lane encoded its manufacturing dates backward, so the stamped serial number 955240 reads 04/25/59.

The table showcases everything collectors love about Acclaim: beautifully figured walnut, contrasting lightwood accents, softly rounded edges, tapered legs with dark tips and the collection’s unmistakable oversized dovetail design. Two hinged end leaves add versatility while preserving its long, low Scandinavian-inspired profile.

This Vintage 1930s British Art Deco Burr (Burl) Walnut Hall Table has made it to the booth!
The curved shape, gorgeous wood grain, chrome drawer pulls, and four center drawers make it such a statement piece.

I paired it with a chrome dome lamp, Italian leaping gazelles, and vintage German pottery. Above it are an architectural print by Walter Valentini and a pair of hand-colored French maps from 1852.
