Forgot to post this here a few days ago.
Baby horse lesson of the day. Emergency planning. What if we had something happen and we had no halter or rope? Maybe we would have something rope adjacent like a belt but if you are like me, I rarely wear one and this is to be my forever horse, and even if he wasn't I would train him for anyone who might own him someday. So in an emergency I would use whatever was available to me. (BTW, I have had to use this in an emergency. I was in the pasture and came upon my horse tangled in barbed wire and had to lead him out of it safely and all I had was a hoodie, but this could also happen in the event of a natural disaster, a fence break, an accident while hauling, losing a bridle while riding, etc. So today was a super windy day and this hoodie is bright pink making the lesson even better. At first Dreamer was just sure that my hoodie ate horses for breakfast, lunch and dinner but I assured him that was not the case and was soon leading him calmly with it.
