A coffee table that I finished recently. That's an antique iron heat grate set in a hard wood frame. The lumber is Osage Orange more commonly used in archery bows. The log was harvested and milled here locally. The finish was a clear stain and a satin polyurethane final coat. It was for sale at Livingston Antique Outlet, booth #28 -- it has sold. Please contact me if you are interested in something similar, always available for custom work.

A very recent project I have just completed. An antique bed frame re-purposed into a bench. The additional lumber used was black walnut, the bed frame was stained dark to match. Final finish was satin polyurethane. The cushion is 3" foam covered in a very pretty dark blue upholstery pattern. Currently displayed for sale at Livingston Antique Outlet, booth #28.

Just restored this antique wall phone for a customer. Completely dismantled the entire box, fully stripped and reassembled. All existing brass was polished and many other brass pieces were replaced with era correct pieces. The ear piece and mouth piece were replaced with a reproduction and an original piece. Turned out very nice!

Recently restored early 20th century Roos cedar chest. It had been covered with a very dark mahogany red stain. I had completely stripped, sanded and sealed the entire piece. Cleaned and polished all the copper and brass decorative pieces. What a difference from the before, (oops!) somehow have lost the before pic.

The customer had found this Kimball pump organ on the internet -- no longer could be played, too costly to restore. With a little research I discovered it was manufactured around 1885-1886. She asked me to re-purpose the cabinet into a writing desk. I removed the bellows mechanism and the keyboard mechanism; a very complicated series of rods and levers. I created a slide system and built a work surface out of solid walnut for the writing surface. The desktop now slides back out of the way and the original roll top door comes down to hide everything. New fabric was installed to update the piece and the entire case was rubbed with mahogany oil for a final finish. The desktop has a coat of polyurethane for durability. It really looks magnificent!
