Going into September feeling extremely shocked and incredibly grateful. 🤍

August was so good to me. I am truly blessed beyond measure.

I hit 25K followers on this little page of mine. 🥹
I was FINALLY monetized 🙌🫶
And I hit record-breaking numbers in sales.

But beyond the numbers, the views, the followers, and the sales… I’m just incredibly thankful for every single person who has supported me along the way.

This little page is just a tiny piece of my world, but somehow you all have made it into something so much bigger than I ever imagined.

Every share. Every comment. Every purchase. Every like. Every person who tells a friend about my little corner of the internet.

All of it matters.

So going into September, I just want to say one thing…

This weekend I am not feeling great.
But I am preparing for Michigan!
In a few days Ill be on my way to The Found Cottage Mercantile.

And I am SO EXCITED!

I haven’t been in 7 years. I was a vendor last time. But this time I will be sourcing 🫶

I don’t go into these trips searching for specific things. They find me. I’m not kidding.

A few days ago, Jackson’s teacher texted me something that stopped me in my tracks.

She told me that, whether I realized it or not, I had created an outlet for him.

Jackson is autistic.

And Jackson loves antiques. Mostly the oddities. The strange things. The things with stories. But more than anything, he loves the whole experience. The digging. The searching. The discovering. The stories behind forgotten pieces. And especially the people.

I’ve built my entire life around my children. That includes building a life that works with Jackson’s needs.

My business has given me the freedom to build my schedule around IEP meetings, school phone calls, appointments, difficult days, meltdowns, and everything else that comes with being his mom, while still providing financially for our family.

But there is a beautiful side to it that I don’t think I realized until his teacher pointed it out.

I have given him a place to be himself.

I’ve shown him that the things he finds fascinating are beautiful. That forgotten objects can have stories. That being different doesn’t mean you have to fit yourself into someone else’s idea of what you should love.

Jackson attended estate sales in the womb.

He has traveled all over America sourcing with me.

He has grown up digging through barns, walking through antique stores, asking questions, finding treasures, and meeting people.

And now I realize that I haven’t just been building a business.

I’ve been building a life where my son gets to see his mom doing something she loves, and where he gets to be right beside me doing something he loves too.

Maybe that’s one of the greatest gifts this business has ever given us.

Not just an income.

Not just a career.

An outlet.

A place where Jackson belongs exactly as he is. 🤍
