For as upset as I was when my patterns were stolen…
I should have known better. 😡

When threadsmuse.shop asked if I would be interested in receiving some free T-shirts and posting on social media for a small amount of compensation, I figured it would be no big deal. I’ve never done a Paid Partnership before, and I figured why not.

I didn’t research the company before agreeing. That was where I went wrong. 😞

It has come to my attention that Threadsmuse.shop features stolen artwork and designs on their products.

This is NOT OKAY!
I DO NOT AND WILL NOT support any company who has business practices that include theft of any kind!!

Upon this information being brought to my attention, I deleted my reel immediately and have contacted the company to let them know they do not have my permission to share my reel.
I feel absolutely sick about this.

I sincerely apologize to the artists whose artwork has been stolen, and I apologize to my followers for sharing this company’s products on my page without doing my due diligence first.

I should have know better.
From here forward, I Will do better. 🩵

This year has been filled with a lot of commitments and commissions…. I’m long overdue for some fun “just because” sewing. The Alison Glass Color Study sew-along is just the project I need!! 1 block per week, for 25 weeks! (The first block pattern went out last week!)

Now in just need to decide if I’ll be strictly using Color Camp basics, or adding other prints from my Alison Glass stash…. 🤔
Either way, it’s going to be gorgeous and it’s going to be fun- and it’s going to be just what I needed!! 🩵

If I can finish winterizing my yard in time today, I’ll hopefully be making block one later this evening!

Maybe you remember the quilt I was making for the wee son of a private pilot (also the grandson of a commercial pilot) a couple of weeks ago. We managed to take a few photos before the quilt left for a life a little boy snuggles, blanket forts, and endless adventures!

This quilt was a fun mix of FPP and curved piecing, a true One of a Kind. I hope it’s loved to absolute pieces! 🩵

It’s been an honor to have had many of my quilts hang at Garden of Quilts over the last 7 years! To date, I’ve had 44 quilts displayed - which means 44 ribbons, multiple handwritten thank you cards, and a collection of adorable commemorative pins! This year’s pin is particularly delightful, with a little quilt that can “sway in the wind” like the real quilts do!!

Thank you to everyone who made Garden of Quilts possible this year, and who took such great care of our quilts with the crazy rain! 🩵🩵

This year’s 7 quilts (I had to remove the 8th quilt for a different event) came home safe and sound and are currently draped all over my studio to air out before I put them away. ☺️ my cats love it when I air out the quilts, as it creates all kinds of fun places for them to snuggle up! Octavia wasted No time at all and made herself at home on a quilt draped over the couch. 😂
I’m sure before long I’ll have 3 cats in here curled up on chairs in little quilt forts. 😉

Being able to do what I love every day, and feel so supported means the world to me!! 🩵
For those who don’t know, I am a Brand Ambassador for jaftexcorp - a role that has quite literally changed my life for the better! Over the past six and a half years I’ve been sent a new/upcoming fabric line every-other-month which I get to create with. What I create is always my choice… and I’ve Always chosen to make quilts. At this point I’ve made over 50 quilts using Jaftex fabrics, more than half of which have been custom designs created specifically to showcase the new fabric line! My love for quilt pattern design has literally been shaped by my time as a Brand Ambassador. I love the challenge, I love the gained experience, and I love and appreciate the support I receive along the way!!
Shipments of fabric like the one I received the other day from jaftexcorp give me the basics and blenders I need to create balanced designs. The continued support from jaftexcorp keeps inspiration fresh and motivation high!!

A custom baby quilt design inspired by an inscription on the parents’ wedding bands which reads “to the moon and to Saturn” The element in the design that is special for the baby is the phase of the moon, as the sweet babe was born when the moon was waxing crescent. 🌙
This is not the final quilt, I was simply testing out all the templates I created to ensure everything will work out perfectly when I make the quilt using the planned fabrics. 💜🩷🧡

Yes, Ma’am, I am staying on task! 🐈‍⬛
My supervisor normally rotates between meowing at me, laying ontop of my sewing machine and trying to lay on my keyboard. Today she is taking a different approach, watching me from a newly discovered perch. That stool has been in my studio for Years (short girl problems) and today is the first time any of my 3 cats has decided to lay on it.
I’m happy with her decision to lay on the stool, it means she isn’t trying to help me edit the pattern I’m designing for my next commission. It’s a win for us both! 🖤
