Check out my first ever stash lamp! The dark colors on this lamp were a custom request from one of our visitors, and go perfectly with the steam-punk inspired base. When I was working on it I realized that with a few minor tweaks this would be a very cool stash lamp. After a couple weeks off from crafting I'm back to making giant flower lamps! Before and after! This one took so many hours of sanding, scrubbing, and buffing to prep that my arms are going to be sore for a week, but the finished product is beyond gorgeous! The base is an antique Stiffel lamp from the 1940s and by itself fetches $900+ online! However, this one is not for sale because it has already been claimed!

The finished photo was actually before I put the final two coats on, but I had to take a break due to the weird weather today. I actually completely love how it turned out

Before and after! The candelabra on this lamp didn't work (it had faulty wiring and a broken switch) so I completely dismantled it, rewired it to a single bulb lamp, rebuilt it a little taller, sanded, and refinished it a dark glossy green; and that was all before I could even start building the flower! Surprisingly it didn't sell over the weekend so if you're looking for a one of a kind lamp this one is still available at Blue Ridge Indie Market!

Ya know that broken lamp in your grandma's basement? Please don't throw it away! I can make something magical out of it! I chopped this broken brass base into bits, then rebuilt, rewired, and refinished it before turning it into the most beautiful giant blossom ever.
