Nautical Foundry Pattern Industrial Bar or Console, 1900s Ship Building 85" Long- $3,499.99

This striking industrial bar or console table is crafted from authentic antique wooden nautical foundry patterns, repurposed into a truly one-of-a-kind statement piece.
This massive, industrial bar was handcrafted in our shop, made from salvaged nautical foundry patterns from the S.S.B. Foundry. The base of the bar is composed of 2 large foundry patterns that were used to form parts of a marine engine housing or propulsion-related machinery from a vessel. The bar top is a massive beam, also a foundry pattern with the original markings and 2 heavy duty, metal eye-bolt anchor plates mortised into the wood surface.
The nautical foundry patterns were salvaged on Episode 8, Season 9 of DiY/Discovery Channel show, "Salvage Dawgs".

More About Foundry Patterns:
The “S.S.B. & Co.” mark found on nautical foundry patterns and shipbuilding molds refers to the Sun Shipbuilding & Drydock Company, a major American shipbuilder founded in 1916 in Chester, Pennsylvania. The company produced oil tankers, cargo ships, and military vessels, especially during World War II.
The wooden “nautical foundry” pieces associated with S.S.B. were industrial foundry patterns used to cast large metal ship components, including parts for marine diesel engines. These handmade wooden molds were used before modern manufacturing methods replaced sand casting.
Today, surviving S.S.B. foundry patterns are collected as maritime industrial art because of their sculptural forms, painted markings, and shipbuilding history.

Pulse Electronics Locomotive RR Speed Indicator, 1970s Train Speedometer 18015-$284.99

This Pulse Electronics, Inc. locomotive speedometer is a rugged, in-cab analog speedometer commonly used in freight and passenger trains in the 1970s. It features a heavy duty case, intact dial, lens and indicator hand. Internal components intact and untested.
Model / Part Number Plaque reads: "180-**, 18015, SN: 4127041"
Good condition, solid housing, lens, dial and needle intact. Untested.
The Pulse Electronics 18015 Locomotive Speed Indicator is a classic, rugged in-cab analog speedometer from the 1970s. Designed for freight and passenger trains, it measured wheel rotation via axle alternators and was a staple of North American railroad electronics.

Black Dog Salvage
A paradise for upcycling fanatics, Black Dog Salvage sells restored mantels, furniture, art, clothing, and home decor. The business and its owners also starred in the TV show “Salvage Dawgs,” which aired from 2012 to 2020. Starting in the fall of 2026, Black Dog Salvage will also host a bike and outdoor gear shop from Roanoke Mountain Adventures, catering to outdoorsy types. The beloved business is also expanding with a second warehouse, which will hold most of its architectural salvage materials.

“My house is from 1927, and I've bought so many things there that help keep my house’s historic character,” Ferguson says.

The Stone House
This three-bedroom, two-story guest house dates back to 1911 and is filled with upcycled treasures from the neighboring Black Dog Salvage, an antique warehouse run by the same owners. Guests at The Stone House benefit from a prime location next to the Roanoke River Greenway and the Grandin Village neighborhood, a quaint shopping and dining destination.

Roanoke, Virginia, blends Blue Ridge Mountain views with boutique hotels, hiking trails, cultural attractions, and easy Amtrak access from major cities.
