We finished sanding and got some oil on our R&Q White Oak project! We taped off the Walnut in the entryway and coated it with “Old Oak” Base Oil. All the Rift and Quartered White Oak got a custom blend of Base Oil! It’s looking great! We will be back on Monday to apply a second coat of oil to even everything out and bring the sheen level up a little bit! Have a great weekend!

Here are some before and after shots for you! This floor had been absolutely butchered by someone previously. Not sure if this was a DIY project or an extremely unprofessional pro that did this work. We came in and removed all the old finish and stain, sanded out all the chatter and sander marks, and finished it with one coat of Berger Seidle Flexseal and two coats of satin Ceramicstar. Happy we could get this floor squared away for this young couple to enjoy for many years to come!

Here’s some shots from a recent project we did for a great customer of ours! 2480 sq.ft. of 6” #1 R&Q White Oak. Wakol PU280 and MS262 glue assist install. Sanded and finished with a coat of 50/50 Espresso/Neutral stain and topped off with two coats of satin Berger Seidle EcoGold finish. We will be back after all the other trades are done to final coat with Berger Satin CeramicStar.

This was definitely the biggest staircase project we have ever tackled! 45 custom Walnut stair treads with stainless steel traction bar inserts. Separate Walnut tread caps glued underneath the treads upside down. Four landings. All of which have Walnut panels glued to the underside. And a giant base plinth with steps in it. The base plinth was concrete, which we had to level with moisture barrier, special primer, and leveling compound. We then built it out with sleepers and 3/4” plywood before installing 5 1/4” wide 3/4” thick prime grade unfinished engineered Walnut flooring. Custom nosing and stair treads were fabricated for the plinth stairs to match the stair treads on the staircase. Everything was sanded and finished with Exobloc sealer and satin Ceramicstar finish! We could not be more excited and pleased with how this project came together! Cheers!

Here’s some before and afters for you! Our great friend and repeat customer bought this house as an investment property. Someone did a number on the living room floor. We threw a sander on the gouges to see if there was even a prayer of them cleaning up but they were nasty! So we patched the damaged boards and cleaned everything up. I shot these pics right before we did the final coat but one coat of Exobloc and one coat of satin Ceramicstar already have this floor looking great!
