I'm often asked if rock tumblers are loud. Honestly, having one rock tumbler in your home, especially something smooth like a Lortone 33B, is pretty tolerable. Some people even find the sound relaxing, almost like rainfall.
It's when you start adding multiple tumblers to the same space that things get a little crazy. . 😂
For reference, this is what 7 of my 8 rock tumblers running at once sounds like! After having rock tumblers running in my home for over 4 years before we opened The Crystal Cellar, I got so used to the constant rumbling that even to this day, when I walk into the room where they all were kept in my house and its silent, my first thought is that something is wrong with my rock tumblers or that I forgot to turn them back on. I have to remind myself I live in a silent home now. Funny how a sound that is so noticeable can become something you don't even hear anymore.
